| Our Wednesday evening Summer Fun nights for the families of Roselawn were a great success and well attended. A picnic was served at 6:00 with games and fun activities following. The police neighborhood liaison, Officer Christine Barry, attended a number of times. The firemen of Engine Company 2 joined us another evening. All the children (including some very big children) got to sit in the drivers seat. One fireman climbed the extended ladder up 100 feet and took a bird's eye picture. Everyone also enjoyed visiting with the police dogs and police horses that came on other evenings. The final Wednesday event was a Health Fair. Exhibitors included the Cincinnati Eye Institute, the Dental Society, Hoxworth Blood Bank, the Sickle Cell contingent from Children's Hospital. Visitors learned about nutrition and stress management and children were registered with a local ID program. | |
